16:12:09 ( week untill Chirstmas :D )

At parkside today so went off to shakin Moos for our project and take pictures of anything we are including in our advertisment . i didnt know what really to take pictures of i just knew i wanted the picture of the Mr Moo costume in one :) as its just soo cool ! so taking pictures of random things in the shop and editing as we went along after takign them evaluating them but i wasnt too sure what i was doing so just let melissa do it as i sat in a MASSAGE CHAIR :D while having a little snooze then i had an idea and it turned out to actually work! we took a picture outside the shop with Mr Moo welcome people in with baloons :) i Thought this worked well ad its sort of incouragign you to come in pointing towards the door with a big smile on its face :D
after about taking 10 pictures and looking at them all thinking anythign we could do to make this picture look perfessional so we are editing them on photoshop aftre edidting mine i think mine would look soo well on a leaflet as its like a comic for younge teenages and very colourful and cheerful :) i know if i was handed this i would know where to go :D However now all we have to
do is come up with a good idea for the pitch and use this idea in our advertisment and hopefully it will work. I did find it quite hard to understand everything even though it sounded easy i was very cofused about what i was doing but trie my hardest to get what was saying.

Shakin 'Moos ..26.11.09

Today we went down to shakin Moos in town to chat to the owner " chris " to go with our shakin moos project which is baseically to advertise shakin moos to get more shoppers in town to go down to shakin moos instead of walking straight passed it. We want to make it stand out and him himself the onwer wishes his shop was more known to everyone and he would really like more customers. so after writing down loads of notes and plannign throught and researching alot of things and his sort of buisness and what he would like to acheieve after. I mwas quite bored just sittign there and listenign and didnt really get most of the things chris was on about but it was intresting in a way to know abit about Shakin Moos what everybody loves.

After an Hour of writing notes and researching we went back to the classroom and summerised everythign and Mr H told us everythign we need to think of and how we need to do it and gave us a little bit of advise, then we went off in groups after lunch and just compared the two compitions websites and said all the good and things about them and thought of waht we will use and what kinds of media to use, also how much text and thought of a little bit of what to say already. so Today has just been planning, notes and loads and loads of boring information to take in :/ :(

Hopefully if we win our pitch we will get FREE MILKSHAKES ! :D But i highley doubt we will win ! As its quite hard to come up with extreme idea that will work and actually incourage people to go to shakin Moo's ... :D <3

5.11.09 Advertising

Well today we were working on our new project, all about advertising , as Mr H was'nt here today we had a cover teacher and bieve it or not was quite enjoyable today and i actually got o to do my work well and undrstood it. Ours Group had to come up with all ideas and ways to save the planet! and thats what were advertising about, we needed something striking and big to actually get people to try and save the world jut buy eaither , Recycle. But we just decided to bring all our ideas together and makea final poster . We decided to make our advert on the globe and the climate change and the ice caps melting , so soon before we kno it we are planning our poster and making t on phtoshop which i can use finally (: it was easy but at the same time hard to be creative with all the ideas about the earth and make a gdoster and at the same time persuade people.



Our group planned our pitch and came up with our scricp for our presentations after we made our posters.When everyone had finished everyon e showed their poster and we were second, after laughing of embarssment as we were up we finally read out our peice and explained the poster as well as we could. we said all the things why we used a melting globe and why we used the text we did and explained our slogon of what it meant and how it would effect people and what we thought the advert could do and pesonally i thought it could work and actually make peopel read it and take notice of it but obviuosly not :L ohwell ...... I think we could of improved our work by using out time wisley and making sure we done the best we could of done a discussing about it to see if it worked for everyone. Our work in the group, i searched for loads of pictures to do with global warming and all the sorts of things to do with it ad put it al together to come up with a good idea. i foun today interesting and even had agood old laugh at the same time mostly laughing at jonathan :L but sshh ..only because for somereason his presentation was so funny god old cram eh ?!:)

Campaign Blog:D

Today the hole class were split in two groups, and are doing different things then we will swap after a few weeks . At first i was a bit annoyed that i was spplit up from jess but Its okaii coz im with some decent peopel :) and worked well . it was all team work and Mr Hind showed us a few flyers for ideas and also we looked at the yellow pages adverts to also see a few good and bad points about advertising something and incouraging people to buy or call the advert\leaflet.ect. Then we had to come up with a tem name for our group of 3's which we still havent thought of as its hard to come up with a name that suites us and that sounds catching and bold! hopefully we will come up with a good one ....... Soon . After a while we mr hind gave us a subject to do our advertising flyer which was Sandwhiches that we devoved to people that wok so we came up with " Super Sandwiches * Which i love :) :L .. .also we had to think of the text to go with it and our slogon that was " We bring you a sandwhich and a Smile " we thought this would catch the puplic eye somehow as for once they dont have to go and get their sandwhiches all they do is call and order and we deliver!. ..

Here are some of the pictures we took that we are going to edit and se them for our flyer.

this image of a cup of coffee really worked well but took ages to get it right, but worked in a good way as the colours went together and made the coffee which was the main subject stand out.Also there is lead in lines to make it look more attractive and perfessional.

This picture of our main subject the sandwich , is the most important and we wanted it to be almost perfect. we tried lots of different things and took loads and loads of pictures at different angles and did different things with each one, but this perticular one was the Best one by far.

well my legs are going to fall off ! We have walked like 1000 miles todayy :/ up to town to fitzwiliam museum back into town and around town then to mill road then walked round a graveyard that was mouldy then walked back to parkside OMG! it has gone on forever ! Anyway , today we visited fitzwilliam museum and walked round there lookign at different paintings and imagry and writing down the techniques it had sush as the subject the rule of thirds, lean in lines, angle, perspective, the framing, The fore ground,mid and background, Tonality, the contrast also the texture! of different paintings. the museum was really quite boring because there wasnt much practical to do and it was just so dull and lame also as it was soo quiet and i felt like people were watching you wherever you were it felt quite uncomfortable. :/

After we late to get back from our meeting point :S we walked to mill road graveyard and had to take photos by using our imagination , it was really hard to think of a good image and also as its a graveyard it was quite hard to get a good picture as it was quite dull and didnt want to stand all over the graves or lay down as we were probably layign on some dead person :/ so we started taking simple pictures but didnt wuite work soo well

Henri cartier bresson ..

This example of one of henri cartier bresson's images is good for leade in lines as soon as you look at this you follow the lines of the gates going through the picture and also creates a sort of perspective by the way the gates go out into the distance so this is also a really interesting picture as its also like a story.

This picture is a good example of a framed image, its framded by the hole in the wall and looking through the perspective distance alsothe subject is the children playing so its not just plain framed image it has a subject to look at in the frame this really catched the eye again as its a Fantastic technique for taking a picture.

This picture is one of my favourites because i like the way your eye follows the heads and immediatly goes in a spiral sort of shape and also this picture is perspective and goes straight up but has an effect as its not just staright and when you first look at it you look at the distance and then follow the childrens heads.

<-- This picture also will catch your eye as its perspective and your eyes go straight down to the subject in a straight line, this picture is interesting to look at as the have the soilders in one straight line then suddenly the young girl poking her head out like this picture has a story or background to it like all the others.














this picture shows you the lines that your eye follows straight away also the bike is on the intersection of the third so this also catches your eye straight away.

well today was the photography part of the course and was actually funny as well as good. we got to go out and take pictures of the outside but use our creative ideas to make it different angles and perspective also facing up or looking down on something and framing things also to use the rule of thirds, all these different types of skills to take pictures and it was actually quite enjoyable. Some of our pictures were good but some were really bad lol on one we framed nothing ( a bit of a bush ) in between Jessica legs omg what a laugh that was. But the good thing was i got to worked with good old Jessica lol.. when we got back we uploaded our pictures off the camera on the mac and chose the good ones and edited them .

Editing :/ ..

This session we edited our vox pops and made them into s film with music and slides of all our interviews it was really interesting to exsperience this as its what perfessionals would do . But i found it really difficult and as a group i didnt really do anything i was so confused like always .. but at times i did watch a try to learn then when i came to try it out didnt even know what i was doing id forgotten everything then just click random things :s it did really irritate me that i couldnt do it and every one seem to manage. but the good thing is i said what they should do and what bits to put in and how to set it out ...

In the end we did achieve a good film that was decent :) but not so decent music ! :D ..
I couldnt say i learnt much the fact i couldnt actually do it and my group didnt really explain to me what they were doing i was just liek whaaa!! .. It was enjoyable at some point to watch the film back and add effects to it and make the voices change higher and deeper !
Bu tthe most successful part is finishing the film and watching to back and turned out to be good have the images at the right time with the music and the tittle pages before and after images to tell the audience what we asked the public and what ours were about.

I think i can improve in the future by practising how to use the prgram and hopefully gettign the hang on it and also to listen and pay more attention in the future so i know what im doing on the program and actually know what im clicking becuase i want to be able to make a film gettign involved and actually doing something :/ not just sayign what i think they should do .
By the end of the course i hope to know all theese things and made a film and do all sorts of things and be prous of it not just sayign i didnt know what to do and i was soo confused.

So this session for me was bad as i wasnt sure how to use the program and didnt really get chance to eathier :S ..

24th September . Vox popping :D

OMG! todaay was actually soo funny but at the same time NervRacking .. We had to go out in our groups and interview lots of random people in town, but at frst we did our piece to camera and i actuallu looked discusting :O and didnt even know what i was saying and looked even more retarded making funny faces :/ anyway that was over and done with and then it was the real thing going up to some random person asking them if we could interview them our first one was really good we interviewed her about our toiv under age drinking and what peple thought of it was different as we went along.

We interviewed about 3 people but asked loads but peopel were just ude or in a hurry .. so we gave up on that and went to lunch ( Mcdonalds ) The best :) ... so everyone had a lunch break and went round town for a bit and we thought it would be better asking people instead of saying " can i ask you a few questions we thought we would just say " excuse me can we ask you a quick question for our school project" and that went really well after lunch we interviewed like 10 11 other people and some were really succsessful :) Finally !!

Filming in CRAM :)

Today we learnt all about vox popping and how to interview some one properly and even how to hold the camra when your interviewing someone ... At first Mr D showed us everything we needed to know about filming something like the angles and if we want to have a bit of four ground in our film and how to make our film look perfessional
and to have the right lighting where ever you are.. So after that we went out in our groups and film an intro of an documentary so there i was in the camera and looked like an absolute retard and even worse talked about cars:/ but turned out okay Mr D liked it i thnk :/ .. but i did learn somethign about vox popping that was how to make an interview look good by the way i hold the camera what parts of background i do need for my interview..because we have to thnk about what background would suite the interview Eg:if your doign an interview about traffice you might want cars in the background going past on a busy road. Also we have to be careful while vox popping as there is health and safety risks like being on a busy road while taking shots or vox popping also going up to a random person is a risk they might be dangerous or they might try an jack the camera :/ wouldnt be good ! but filming at first is quite difficult as we havent had much exsperience with all the different types of lighting and tools you have to use so our practise interview didnt go too well as you couldnt really hear the sound the camera was tlted and all the questions were done too early when the camera wasnt ready :/ so yea but we didnt improve everything when we did the documentary :) but practise makes Perfect :D ...

My Experiences :D ..

Ive done loads of practical work around The good old Manor :) like in music when we composed our own songs we used a program on the computer called sequal which was media Making songs. And obviously in drama we have used still camras , video camras <0n on a tripod ;) To perferm our Piece of drama. Also i have used loads of graphics websites like photoshop and paint shop pro in art when we made colages about life and used different images from google and created a colage and used different tools to get a different effect and design. Soo its not much experience but its something the onyl other thing i can think of is when we were studying structure we had to design a bridge that worked on a program on the computer in DT. So Yea thats my Experiences but still havent got the hang on some of em .. :) but hopefully do in Creative and media :D ...

A Biit About me :) ...

Me : Well i surpose you can say i watch Tv Sometimes when im in the mood and having one of those lazy days otherwise im out and about :) ... But when i do watch it i normally just watch Hollyoaks or the Hills Or listen to the good old Tunes on the music channels! :D .. Films , Me And the girls are always watching films mostly comedies because i hate horrors but now and again they make me watch em :/ i like any good movie really just not too grose :) .. Music , i love my tunes i mostly listen to R&B like everyone does Drum & Bass, hip hop and any thing good really.
I dont Really read unless i have no choice like in a lesson at school But otherwise i wouldnt spend time reading a rusty old book not my idea of fun ! .. If Im on the internet catching up with all the goss Thats around Facebook(I LOVE facebook), Msn, if i have to google, Youtube and occasionally Bebo. But if im not doing any of that im out and about With everyone, Shopping in the good old Primark or Just Grafton.. So yea thats me i guess all that woffling<--(Wich i love doing)_ has made my fingers Ache :O !! :/

To Begin With we talked about safety and camera safety. how to use a camera properly, how not to use a camera near a road or how not to run backwards when filming. SOMETHING I OBVIOUSLY WOULD DO! but how easy these things are to doo.Mr D told us all the things we need to do before using the camra and all the types of things like the white balance and contrast and the different lighting we will use as in outdoor and indoor.. Then We had 20 minures to go out and take snap shots of buildings... after we took 4 snaps of random building we went back and gave in out tapes:)
